With the dark nights well and truly upon us, and the cold weather settling in, now is the perfect time to take advantage of the bike not being used as much, to send your clocks in to lightenupgrade for that backlighting upgrade you’ve been thinking about!
The lightenupgrade SMD led kits cover models mostly after 2000, where the manufacturers have swapped over from bulbs to LEDs soldered to the circuit board. These clocks need stripping down to the circuit board, removing the dial face and desoldering of the pins on LCD screens in order to just access the backlighting LED’s, which then need to be desoldered and replaced with the new ones from the kit. While many choose to utilise the fitting guide provided with the kits, many others prefer to not get that deep into their clocks, and prefer to have the upgrade done for them.
Luckily, at lightenupgrade we do offer a fitting service for all of our kits, whether bulb replacements or SMD kits,
The SMD kit fitting service is currently charged at a flat rate of £85, regardless of what model the clocks are from. this includes all parts, labour and return postage.
We appreciate that as unlikely as it will be that you will be taking the bike out at this time of year (apart from you hardcore all year round bikers!) you don’t want to miss any good dry days that might appear, so no matter what time of year, your clocks are treated with the highest priority! The aim is to have any clocks that are posted in for an upgrade, to be done and back in the post the same day that they arrived here, and are returned to you via royal mail special delivery, with a next day by 1pm delivery guarantee!
So, if you were to send your clocks off on a Monday using a next day service, you should honestly expect to have the clocks back with you by 1pm Wednesday!
