The Lightenupgrade Kawasaki GTR1400 switchback indicator kit  for DIY installation

Upgrade your Kawasaki GTR1400’s visibility with our Switchback Indicator Kit. These dual-function LED indicators act as solid white (or red for the rear) daytime running lights that switch to flashing amber when indicating.

• Designed for a perfect fit and maximum impact, helps you stand out to other road users in all light conditions.
• Keep a factory look to your bike – no more ugly, bolt on, additional lighting units, utilises what the bike already has
• While riding, the indicators function as white (or red for the rear) Daytime Running Lights. When you use the indicator switch, the corresponding DRL switches to flashing amber. Once the indicator is cancelled, it automatically switches back to the Daytime Running Light

This kit has been built specifically to fit the Kawasaki GTR1400 Concours and is entirely Plug and Play (*).

The GTR1400  Switchback Base kit is comprised of:

• Dual colour led switchback indicator units
• 1x LED indicator relay
• 2x LED sidelight bulbs (in white to match the DRL’s)
•  Plug and Play “piggyback” wiring loom to power the DRL’s

The Rear switchback kit running lights can be manually switched to be powered by either:-

• Tail light circuit: Red Daytime Running Light on, flashes amber for indicators (the same as the front kit does)
• Brake light circuit: No lights on during normal running, comes on red as an additional brake light when brake applied, flashes amber when indicator selected

You can also add the following additional upgrades to your GTR1400 Switchback kit  :

• H4 LED headlight bulbs
• LED bulbs for rear indicators
• Clock backlighting upgrade kit (not Plug & Play*)
• Dual Brake and Tail Lighting loom – this allows your rear switchbacks to combine both feeds of the basic plug and play loom to operate at 50% brightness when the tail light is on, then increase to 100% brightness when the brakes are applied. Then still switch to amber when indicating.

(*)Please take note that while the switchback kit, headlights, and all rear led bulbs are all completely plug and play, the LED clock upgrade kit is NOT.

Depending on your experience of soldering small components, we do recommend using the lightenupgrade fitting service for the clocks. The clock upgrade requires stripping the clocks down to the circuit board, de-soldering small surface mount LEDs, then soldering in their replacements from the kit, then reassembling the clocks

• Does the Kawasaki GTR1400 Switchback Indicator Kit pass the UK MOT Test?

Yes, as the indicator always takes priority and turns the DRL off completely while its flashing amber, it does not in any way infringe on the operation of the indicator, this keeps your MOT tester happy!

• Is the Kawasaki GTR1400 Switchback Indicator Kit really Plug and Play?

Yes, we have sourced original connectors for everything in the kit. My goal with any new kit is to build something that can be fitted, then removed, without leaving any sign that it was ever there, and that is exactly what we have been able to do with the kit for the GTR1400.

• Are spare parts available for the GTR1400 Switchback Indicator Kit?

Yes. The kits are all assembled in house, with parts that are used across several models. in the event we dont have any built up spares in stock, we can usually build them to order.
