Pair of Tail/Brake LED Bulbs

Our Tail/Brake LED Bulbs are supplied as 2x bulbs (a pair)

The Lightenupgrade tail/brake light led bulb is a plug and play direct replacement for the OEM filament bulbs, requiring no relays or resistors in order to function correctly.

Instead of using a 2 filament system like the OEM bulbs, this led unit uses a dim/bright voltage difference controlled internally by the LED unit. The tail light produces a half brightness output, which is switched to full brightness when the brake is applied.

Using an array of LEDS pointing outwards, it not only provides a brighter light than filament bulbs, but it also fills the tail light lens better giving a much “fuller” lit area at the rear of the bike.

These LED units are available in red or white LED with either BAY15D (P21/5w) or T20d (7443/Honda fitment) bases.

Typically, Honda moved over to the T20D style around the year 2000, but there are some models that blur the line, so if in doubt, please get in touch to verify

In our experience, especially with older bikes, the white LEDs can make the tail light lens look faded/bleached, giving out a slightly orange or pink light. Using the red LEDs instead brings the tail light back to being a really bold and bright red. however, a recent change to MOT regulations in the UK have now stipulated that where a tail light is also used as a number plate light that this must be white. Its entirely up to you which you choose, but we stick with red in all our bikes!
