As an avid fan of 90s carb’d Triumphs (T300 generation) one thing that has bugged me for decades is the routing of the fuel hoses. The preformed genuine ones from Triumph are around £50 for the pair, but are not rated for ethanol. off the shelf thin walled fuel hose kinks when made to fit the curves required on these bikes, but regular reinforced fuel hose is too thick to make the tight curves required. And now with the addition of ethanol to our fuel, risk of degradation of the fuel lines will be increased. And then there’s the vacuum hose for the fuel tap, which can easily be kinked when the tank is off for servicing, which will only be evident, when you run out of fuel a mile up the road because the tap cant open without vacuum.
After owning 14 bikes of various models from this range over a 20 year span, I’ve finally decided how to improve upon triumphs original design, and would like to introduce you to the lightenupgrade “ethanol safe, no kink” T300 fuel And vacuum lines.

Each set is guaranteed for 10 years to withstand the effects of ethanol to current UK E10 standards, and to not suffer from kinking. if you havent already, it is highly recommended to overhaul your carbs with the ethanol safe viton seal kit from sprint manufacturing

At £45, Each set includes both fuel hoses to suit all carb’d 3 and 4 cylinder models* and the vacuum hose for vac operated fuel taps and hose clamps to secure them in place

The vac line is semi rigid nylon tube with silicone elbows to connect to the carb top and back of the fuel tap, allowing clearance with the frame.
The vac line is supplied as a length to sufficiently reach carb #4 and can be trimmed in length to work with whichever carb you prefer to use
The initial proof of concept sets have already flown out of the door, and im waiting for more stock to arrive to build the next batch, so if you would like to register your interest and be notified when they come back into stock, please email: sales@lightenupgrade.co.uk quoting “T300 fuel lines”
*These hoses are suitable for all 3 and 4 cylinder carb’d models from the early Hinkley Triumph range that use a vacuum operated fuel tap, Daytona (750, 900, 1000,1200) Trophy (900, 1200) Speed Triple (750, 900) Trident (750, 900) Sprint (900) there is no intention at present to provide fuel hoses for other models
